how much would a slightly damaged 70-200mm lens sell for? rrp at the time was £1400 and I dont use it anymore :( works perfect but needs serviced to fix the front end to enable use of filters

You should be able to get a good price for that as the damage is minor.

This one at eBay appears to be in worse condition, so you could hope to get more.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Just had a script-reading scammer phone me trying to make out my computer has downloaded a malicious file.

I simply said "really, and how could you possibly know what files my computer has downloaded?", and he said "oh.. forget it" and hung up.

They aren't trying very hard these days.

I don't want to live on this planet any more. Someone I know on Facebook posted the results of some test or other their child did. It shows them to be on average two years behind their age. Her Mum can barely string a sentence together so it's understandable (not sure if the kid has any other special needs to be honest) but read what she put on Facebook....

Quote:
She needs 1 2 1 has u can c she around the 5-6 years mark shes nearly 9 fgs she still dunt no her alphabat shocking they av let it go this far.xxx

That's copied verbatim.

I've got a friend with a degree who texts like that. I put it down to laziness. :x

For kids like that, a relaxing environment where all they have to do is read, read, read and play sport then maybe a maths lesson a couple of times a week. Reading is all a kid needs to do at that age.

My friend is lazy. :)

Not only does he use text speak as much as he can, when he makes a mistake he won't correct it and so often creates new words.

I can't decide on which is worse, someone not knowing any better, or someone who does.

That's amazing, right above I was expecting to see a smudge, not a fully zoom-able pixel perfect representation of a ceiling 15 metres up, I guess the technology for this kind of thing has moved on since last time I used one.

Doesn't make the fanatical unnerving depiction of two angry looking men sitting in a pile of babies any less weird and religious though.
