I have to share this beef stew recipe. About 30 mins prep then 3 hours in the oven and it always comes out perfect. I tend to use what I have in the house so a normal sized packet of stewing beef, potatoes, carrots and suede & dried herbs rather than fresh. I've made it without the red wine and it still came out good although the wine does add tons of flavour. Made it at the weekend and put in a generous dollop of chilli flakes which certainly warmed it up a bit.

Perfect meal for these cold winter nights and reheats well the next day.

It could also be great if you have spare naans that have been frozen. Thaw them and then add paste and cheese.

Nice. I had fish pie last night. With peas though, not sprouts!

I'm not a fan of peas and we had sprouts in the fridge and this side of pay day beggars can't be choosers ;)

I love peas or sprouts. Though must confess using frozen veg most of the time, especially when it comes to peas sprouts and sweet corn.

Birthday weekend for my man this weekend. Out for dinner tonight to the local pub which does very posh nosh and then going to the Chesterfield Hotel in Mayfair for afternoon champagne tea on his birthday on Sunday.

Debating whether to have lunch today or skip it so I'll have an appetite tonight.
