a lot of East Yorkshire is covered in snow. York was snowy when i was there on sunday, and all the way to Bridlington was under about 3 inches of snow too. luckily the major roads were gritted pretty well, which makes a nice change :P

Still no snow here, but we had a high of -5°C last night.

Just been out with the dog, my legs were cold within 30 seconds of stepping outside and burning by the time I got to the end of the road.

My gloves are useless! My hands were frozen within a couple of minutes.

Even my Jack Wolfskin coat, with fleece and waterproof jacket, plus a shirt and thick pullover weren't enough to keep me warm to the 20 minutes I was outside! I was wearing a thick, fleeced hat inside the hood of the JW, I forgot it last night and just had the hood up, that was almost worse than not wearing anything on my head!

The temperature at the moment is under -15°C!

At least there is no ice.

Over in Essen, my colleague had -18°C yesterday morning!

It is much warmer this morning, only about -7°C. Supposed to climb a bit more tomorrow, and we might even get snow.

It has started snowing here. The temperature has climed around 15°C from the beginning of the week and now everything is slippery!

The snow is only a couple of flakes at the moment.

Still above zero here, so I doubt that I will see snow this week.

Not settling in Cardiff either. Still, lots of excited chatter on Facebook etc about a possible "snow day".

Sadly it won't happen for me, I'm about the only bastard who lives close enough to be expected to walk in to work, whatever the weather.

It rarely ever snows here and settling is rare. Last year with the snow it was only settled for a couple of days yet many further north were snowed in and schools cancelled.

We had a couple of cm over night. They haven't gotten around to clearing the main road here.
