http://www.computerandvideogames.com/33 ... sneaks-in/It'll just never come close to that. Mind you, they don't care... I'm not sure I care about it any more, and I've got various company credit to spare

The music’s a bit too jolly for the theme. Oh, well.

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/33 ... its-teeth/They really need to come up with new ways of 'presenting' the Alien

It's all rather clichéd isn't it now?

I've seen that image in various forms since at least the 90s in Playstation mags, never mind anywhere else... Even in terms of putting the Alien on the silver screen, my only notion on doing something slightly different would be having it as a frenzied killer that shows up really randomly. And the pacing required for that to work is probably beyond even it's original director these days

The best, and I mean the BEST, bits of the Alien films aren't the high paces frenzied action, but the slow burning suspense. The shadows, the expressions on the actors' faces. The tension builds, and...
...the Luton Bus turns up.
The thing is that all of this can be done in a game, and I would imagine that if Prometheus doesn't go down this route, I'd be very surprised.

Oh, I agree, but I seriously doubt even Scott is up to it, so... That's why I wanted to see a frenzied Alien (I don't mean AvP-style), one that's properly vicious who then scarpers, only glimpses shown of it early on at best.

I agree. I saw another mention of this game today and the trailer just suggests hordes of aliens waiting to be killed in a FPS spree. I think they could do so much better making a real horror scenario. I can remember being scared witless by playing Aliens on the C64 in the dark. With modern CGI and AI there is no reason they couldn't set a scene with only a few aliens that produced countless possible endings, something that required a little investigation, exploration etc.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Aliens: Colonial Marines: 4 DLC packs and season pass http://www.computerandvideogames.com/38 ... s-planned/There's been so many videos and 'news' on this title that something has to be seriously wrong with it. Not to mention the delays, Gearbox or not I'll rent it or pick it up for about £5 second hand, though I am dying to see it for myself

Creative Assembly's Alien: Leaked image points to original movie http://www.computerandvideogames.com/39 ... nal-movie/Yeah, hard to have faith when everything Sega goes near turns to [LIFTED] , though Gearbox and others should obviously be ashamed of themselves too.

Gearbox and Sega hit with class action suit following Aliens: Colonial Marines http://www.computerandvideogames.com/40 ... l-marines/Hope he wins - that game's a disgrace. And Sega have form; when people complained about the MP barely working in AvP, Sega implied it hadn't sold enough for them to spend the money on fixing it! If nothing else, people spent a small fortune on various editions. I had various Sega consoles down the years, but I'll laugh if they ever go out of business. And I really hope they do.

Sega and Gearbox respond http://www.computerandvideogames.com/40 ... g-lawsuit/I'd love for someone to hook up a console and show some of the previous travesties from these two in court
