Yes, I made this comment last night. Very basically, the search for the Higgs has been an issue of eliminating the masses that it can't have by testing those areas and confirming that they have definitely not got it there (or something). But then they start to make guesses about where along the line it will appear. But still they don't really know what it is, what it does, how it works or even whether it exists or not. From doing maths at uni and using it to prove the formulas of sequences etc... I can kind of see how they arrive at the fact that something must be there but it amazes me how they can be so accurate and garner so much information about this theoretical particle.

Yeah, that's the bit that stumps me!

Just had to ask, has anyone else seen The Royal Bodyguard, with David Jason?
We are a couple of weeks behind on the TV and watched (some of) the first episode last night. I found it as predictable as a Chuckle Brothers plot, but it wasn't as funny.
What a waste of David Jason's talents.
If anyone can promise me that the second episode is much, much better I might watch it, but otherwise it's getting ditched off the hard drive.

No, it was tragic - a shame to see someone of his talents stooping so low really.

Another tragedy... What the hell have they done to Room 101?
Was quite looking forward to Frank Skinner taking over this show, but they've only gone and turned it into a game show. Why can't they stop dicking about with the formula, it was much better as a one-to-one show. Frank's trying his best, but it's a bit of a mess.

Just starting on the final season of Battlestar Galactica. Horrified to see Gaius Baltar already...can't stand the character.

It's when he crops up in other shows that really messes with my head. Although I did like it when he showed up in Eureka and made a comment about hallucinating about a tall blonde in a slinky red dress That made me lol!

Did anyone watch the final episode of Hustle? Without giving anything away, I thought it was one of the weaker episodes and definitely not 'finale' material... And what was with that surreal end bit?
