For the past 500 years, mathematicians and scientists have used symbols, the crucial one being the equals sign. Unusually, we know who invented it, and why. It was Robert Recorde, who in 1557 wrote in his treatise The Whetstone of Witte: "To avoide the tediouse repetition of these woordes: is equalle to: I will sette as I doe often in woorke use, a paire of paralleles, or gemowe lines of one lengthe: bicause noe .2. thynges, can be moare equalle."

Apparently I no longer work in J block. No, I now work in the Geoscience Innovation Hub at the Environmental Science Centre.

I'd still not worry too much. You've still got three evenings to go and there are similar lenses listed before yours, as soon as they've finished the focus will be on your lens. Perhaps it's best have a potential buyer pull out now rather than after the auction completes.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

The renamed all the buildings on our campus after former executives. I spent most of this morning in Martin Harris.

Don't worry you'll get idiots panicking on the last day to get the ball rolling.

Why anyone bids on something when it's not 5 minutes before the end of the auction I don't know, all you're doing is pushing the final price up. I've ahd an auction go from £3,00 at the beginning of the final day to £600 in 24 hours.

If there's less than a day left and your auction is at 99p then you will have about 500 watchers of the product and you are going to get an avalanche of bids, high bids early put people off, you'll get fewer watchers.

tl:dr it's better for the seller that his bid stays low as long as possible because the watchers flood in.

You've got active bidders so you can't change it. Just add a note to the auction

I wouldn't click anything.

If they log in via ebay UK then they can still bid anyway

Very closely related to bears, that group of animals.
