Many things go around Twitter long before they are announced in the news, so that's what this thread is for. Of course, many rumours turn out to be false so take these posts with a pinch of salt.

Anyhoo, rumours abound on Twitter that American billionaire investor Warren Buffett has been found dead.

I like the idea.

Maybe we non-tweeters will get the interesting stuff without having to trawl through the myriad "just had a cuppa" or "my nighbour's dog crapped on the pavement" drivel. ;) :D

BTW Warren Buffett sounds like a feast for rabbits.

[edit] apparently it's a false rumour

http://www.omaha.com/article/20120304/N ... 0309873/-1

The Omaha World Herald is owned by Buffett's daughter.

S'funny, but my Tweeters doesn't have any of that kind of stuff in it - from me or those I follow. ;)

In that vein, then:

NASA said: "March 14 at @NASA_Wallops, NASA will launch 5 rockets in approx. 5 minutes to study the high-altitude jet stream! go.nasa.gov/AysEMl"

British Journal of Photography said: "Photographer and documentary filmmaker Tahmineh Monzavi has been arrested in her native Iran: bjp-online.com/british-journa…"

Mr Chris Addison said: "I don't really give a rat's ass about sport that isn't cricket but I absolutely love that Rory McIlroy's now Golf's Number One. Brilliant."
