Yesterday the wife said she would bake a nice chocolate cake. This was a lie.

I sent an email earlier that couldn't be delivered. The mailserver has now provided me with 19 reattempt failure messages now and I'm wondering when it will give up. Not seen this before so I'm hoping there will be a timeout at some point.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Depends on what mail server they're running and if they've fiddled with it much. I've seen default retry time set to anything between 72 hours and a week. If the server is at all smart, it'll have some idea of how many failures there've been and 'scale out' it's redelivery attempts so they're happening less often. Jon

It does seem to have slowed to one per hour now. Let's see how it is in the morning.

The bird on the BBC news. The one who does the sport. Loved the legs. Thought she was "awight". Today, she turned to the camera and the light that fell on her face accentuated all of the saggy skin and wrinkles!

I suspect that one of the reasons why I was offered the job at my current workplace is that I have a handle on computers/tech. What I didn't know was that my boss who is leaving was the one who computerised the whole place, including networks, switches etc. Which means I'll more than likely be expected to fix things when they go wrong. I think I'm gonna need help! clicky

Got round to ringing up capital one. Turns out they sent a replacement card at the beginning of January. I haven't received anything so far. They've blocked the account and are going to send a new card. Checking the online account shows no foul play. So far.
