I'd suggest talking to Saspro, he used to work in the industry in London and may be able to recommend somewhere.
What does he play?

I've asked a non-forum friend of mine about it as well as he knows lots of people that do that kind of thing as well.

I'd like to know a price range, for a day's recording I think. Any idea?

You'd be looking at £350-£500 for a day in the studio with an engineer. £350 will get you someone to hit record and mix it. The £500+ market will get you someone with production skills to add a bit of creativity to it. You can do it for less (£25 an hour or so) if you do it at a rehearsal studio type place with an engineer but it won't be as much of a "wow factor" doing the recording but you'd still get quite a good sound. Don't forget you'll need to mix the recording which can take longer than the actual recording (depending on the number of instruments on each track). If you can find a studio I can engineer & mix it for you.

The antibiotics the doc prescribed for my throat infection (which apparently caused my sisters to projectile vomit when younger) they are also the ones used for treating syphilis/the clap. That could have been a bit awkward to explain

Your sister didn't projectile vomit. Penicillin for syphilis is normally given as an injection. You've been given tablets. The only question is whether they gave you enough for ten days or not.

I was prescribed some antibiotics once for a persitent problem (was either stomach or ear but I can't remember now) and the doctor said they would be good for a two week holiday to Thailand. I had pyloric stenosis as a child, now that it projectile vomiting.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Projectile vomiting... just going off what the parents said when I spoke to them after getting it (they were impressed I could show up at a walk in on a sunday and be seen within an hour) I got a 7 day course though, fingers crossed it is enough

Seven days is enough for most things but for the throat, should really be ten days.
As for projectile vomiting, it's caused by narrowing of the exit in the stomach, can be congenital if child (and spotted within first few months of life) or due to stomach problems eg ulcer if adult. Food can't exit stomach so ends up going in the opposite way and can travel several feet eg from one side of the room to the other. That is projectile vomiting. Anything else is just being violently sick.

Apparently one of my more regular prescriptions is the same as that given to people with thrush.

I was a projectile vomiter for the first few days of my life. Apparently I kept it down long enough for me to get some benefit. Just when it was about to become serious I stopped so the problem obviously sorted itself out. Have loved food ever since
