Hate drinking out of anything plastic bigger than a bottle, just doesn't taste right usually.

The problem I have is most pubs who go with plastic glasses buy really rubbish ones, where the plastic is so thin it can barely support the weight of the liquid in it, and you can pretty much bend the 'glass' with your hand while you're holding it. That's just not on. if you they use much more heavy duty plastic that's to all intents and purposes, indistinguishable from glass I don't really have a problem with it.

Another major problem with plastic receptacles is that many are designed for single-use, but many establishments collect, wash and re- use them; this is a problem as a single-use plastic receptacle will only hold a pint once - after it is washed it loses its shape and will never hold a pint again, in effect you're being sold a short measure.
