http://www.computerandvideogames.com/34 ... 13-report/

At this point nothing would surprise me, but Sony would need to have invested in a FAIL destroyer, and... Oh, God....

It will be circumvented in the first few weeks.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Yeah, but then they'll patch the firmware and insist on people having the latest version to run games.

Yep, but someone will crack it and get hounded by Sony's lawyers, prompting a massive sympathetic hack attack on PSN.

Wait, was this for the PS4 or PS3? ;)

TBH, I am surprised they haven’t considered doing this for the PS3.

Want to see if a game is crap? Look at the 2nd hand games racks and see how many of each title are there. I’ve had enough experience to know that my judgement on that is about right.

Mind you, if they want to put the nail in the coffin of the UK game retailers, this is the best way to do it. I can only hope that games for the PS4 won't be in the astronomically high brackets as the PS3 games then. It may encourage more people to buy them at launch.

If people can't sell their games on 2nd hand, I doubt they'll be prepared to pay as much for them in the first place.
