Well my reward cards never had more than £5 on, refused to buy from them as the price was more than £5 than else where to start!

Looks like some stores will be saved

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-17575500

Quote:
The investment group, Opcapita, will announce on Sunday it is buying a large part of the troubled Game Group out of administration, the BBC understands.

The deal will keep open 333 stores and save 3,100 jobs.

Half a dozen banks, led by Royal Bank of Scotland, who are owed £85m, have approved the takeover, says BBC business editor Robert Peston.

But will they do the unthinkable and charge reasonable prices?

Only in a small sense, but I kinda wanted to see what effect them closing would have on the industry and market, the supermarkets had already put out statements and promotions with Tesco calling itself the home of games!

Unless they change their business model, this is purely delaying the inevitable - a stay of execution really.

Originally, there were Virgin game stores. I bought my copy of Rise and Decline of the Third Reich (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rise_and_D ... hird_Reich) from one in London.

I never remember it being Virgin game store, there was a Virgin Megastore, but that sold games, dvds, cds and even their PAYG mobile phones (and Virgin Cola)
