Socks don't worry me, it's the shoes that give me most concern.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Picking up a steam mop tonight. Hope it works. Hope it brings up my floors sparkling. Hope I can finally retire the mop and bucket.

I have one job offer which I have to respond to very soon, and another where I'm shortlisted but the process will take a while longer.

Is it better to have a hand in two bushes?

Hell yes. You have no obligation to either company until the contract is signed. Remember until that point they're perfectly within their rights to say "you know maybe you're not the right person. Sorry."
If company A actually offers you the job, fair rough. It would be... unfair to string them along until the process with company B had concluded too. But otherwise..

I've not seen the contract from company A yet. Hopefully company B will make sufficient progress before I receive anything.

I'm fast coming to the realisation that, despite chucking all my secondary school stuff out, I still don't hae enough space for my stuff. I really need an office room where all my textbooks and work related stuff can sit.

Together with my job offer, there's an incentive to move out. I've come to terms with the fact that I probably won't be able to own my house until I'm in my 40s. I think I'd best start looking for a place to rent fairly soon.

There's never enough space for stuff. Learn now to ruthlessly chuck!
