Things that annoy you day-to-day like, in my case at least, wires of every description :x

Obviously they'll need to be replaced by something better, but you get the idea...

Those retarded plastic clamshell packaging efforts that force you to go and get scissors is another one

I'm sure a lot of your employers would be happy.

*points at everyone*

I am my employer, and I would be very happy. But also immensely bored. I mean, I'd have to actually do something constructive with my day.

Now, what would I abolish? Hmm, let me see...

24 hour licensing.
In-car audio that's loud enough to annoy you three streets away.
Those motorbikes with excessively loud exhausts.
Most of the crazy and broken legislation brought in after knee-jerk reaction to events.
Spitting in the street.
Walking on the cracks in the pavement.
Being in a built-up area in a loud shirt and in possession of an offensive wife.

(Those last two are jokes, and I doubt anyone can remember the comedy show sketch they come from.)

Yay! Constable Savage FTW.

"I'm transferring you to the SPG."

Now there's a pay-off that's dated!

Yeap, cut them to bits in frustration then find out the products faulty and have to go through the rigmarole of explaining where the outer packaging is (or why it has a whole roll of Sellotape wrapped round it). Anyway I though as a country manufactures were meant to be reducing packaging?

Given it took me 2 and a half hours to get home yesterday. Bob Crow should be abolished. In the worst way.

Will think of more today. At the moment my initial answer is everything, but thats because I'm a tired and miserable boy today.

A few (semi) rational ones I know I always think should be abolished:
Middle management
Annoying people in marketing
Grease
Stickers that tear when you try to peal them off
Lager and clear spirits
Early mornings after late nights...
The GNOME GUI...I really need to look for something lighter...
The x86 architecture in servers, it's more hassle than it's worth IMO
