If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Much maligned and underrated, in my opinion.

My memory doesn't get beyond the guy with the tongue and it's most infamous scene - especially confusing for a young boy at the time

I was looking at it on wiki earlier today and found out that one of the actresses is married to Casper Van Dien from Starship Troopers. Further linking led me to find that a full CGI movie is due out later this year. It thankfully forgets about the two abominations that were sequels and will be a direct continuation from the first movie. Labelled Starship Troopers: Invasion, I'm hoping the main star will be the powered armour.

I've just watched take me home tonight, which is a 2011 film set in the 80s. I felt it caught the spirit perfectly. I absolutely loved it even though it has been pretty universally panned by critics. But then, I quite enjoyed hot tub time machine, so what do I know!

Watching that film again was like erasing a fond childhood memory, don't do it, leave it in the past. Same with Dark Crystal.

And Captain Planet.

However Stoppit and Tidyup is still awesome.

I'm trying to think of some that might not have been mentioned and and that depict the 80's (rather than just awesome films that were made in the 80's)

Footloose
Dirty Dancing
Flashdance

....not that I've actually seen any of those of course

Transformers The Movie - Full of 80's soundtrack awesomeness!
Cocktail
Heathers
Stand By Me
License to Drive
Teen Wolf
Mannequin
Overboard
