New policies are loss-leaders. They hope to take you on under (the statistical average) cost and then make you pay more later by making it easy to renew.
Remember, the insurance industry has not been very profitable over the last decade. You may think they're screwing you, but it's only because they're getting screwed in turn by dishonest or careless drivers. Plus the cost of car repair has increased ridiculously since the introduction of body coloured bumpers!!

I would actually support a body search at the cinema to prevent fcuktards texting during the film Oh yeah, and who the hell eats popcorn and sweets for an hour straight?

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

I usually finish my sensibly small/medium sized box in the trailers. There may be some crumbs left in the bottom of the box that I'll nibble through out, but it's far, far better than noisy plastic sweety bags.

It's perfectly possible to eat popcorn from a bag quietly. You just have to open it before the show starts. Of course, I'm too tight to buy it usually.
Texting is really annoying because modern phones light up half the theatre!

Wait what? Ah... you must have that horrible sugar coated stuff that looks like it's been dipped in liquid sugar. I prefer the warm sugary/salty stuff from front of house rather than that caramelised abomination.

I remember the good old days of cinema. Smuggling in a chicken curry, fries, beer, and then finishing off with a cigarette.
I can also remember smoking on a plane.

The last time I was at the cinema the front of house popcorn was wheeled in pre-popped on a pallet truck.

Sure, it's bought in by the bag load. Still better than that crunchy sugared nonsense.

Butterscotch toffee, yes, it's fantastic The last time I ate any was about 8 years ago when the then Mrs JJ smuggled it in with her huge hand bag along with the fizzy pop I do quite like plain popcorn too, but I only ever have it home made in front of the TV. It always reminds me of polystyrene packaging

Everything's got so cheap, the craft of bodywork has got disproportionately expensive. It's absolutely ludicrous that there are cars out there that cost over 30 or forty grand ten years ago, fully mot'd that you can't get rid of for over five hundred quid. Their perceived value is nowhere near what their actual value should be based on the work that has gone into producing them. Unfortunately due to cheap credit and our consumer society, the market is over saturated, plus, of course, whiplash.

The biggest problem is diagnosing whiplash. I have deliberately never diagnosed it and instead call it "muscular strain" or similar.
My current rant is websites that open up a mobile site when you go to them but do not offer an alternative. Currently trying to see what time Tescos will be open. A google link shows the answer but cuts off the time. If I click on the link on my iPhone it will take me only to the mobile link and there is no alternative! Grrr!

Yeah, I think I've ranted about that before. I ind it most annoying when the mobile site doesn't take you to the page you'd googled.
