My current rant is websites that open up a mobile site when you go to them but do not offer an alternative. Currently trying to see what time Tescos will be open. A google link shows the answer but cuts off the time. If I click on the link on my iPhone it will take me only to the mobile link and there is no alternative! Grrr!

Don't disagree, but FWIW http://www.tesco.com > mobile site > store locator > opening times...

Or you could just phone them up ;)

But today is a bank holiday. So is it usual opening times or sunday opening times?

What's frustrating is that if I fire up the laptop and navigate to their site, it will tell me the opening hours (which are neither normal hours nor sunday hours!).

To the fudge-packer who pulled out in front of me today, £$%& you!

On the dual carriageway NSL, am in the outside lane overtaking several cars doing only 50-60mph. Lead car in front is doing maybe 50mph. Truck pulls out of lay-by on to left lane. Lead car immediately moves to right hand lane. No mirror checking. No signalling. Just dodgy manoeuvring. Cue me hitting the brakes hard and am practically inches off his bumper. Driver nonchalantly moves back to left lane, still at 50mph.

From what I've seen, people in the UK have no knowledge of existence of indicators AT ALL.

That TV pop-up telling me about the digital switchover is really getting on my tits, especially since I'm seeing it on a digital TV :x

I sometimes wonder if people can drive at all...

So far in London:

- Were i not extra vigilant in making sure Cars stop before i cross a Zebra crossing, i would have been hit a few times as they decide to just carry on going without even slowing down.

- Outside uni, the number of drivers that will be visibly pissed at you and smash their horns because the light turns Orange (flashing Green Man) as you're crossing a Pedestrian Crossing (the timing is a little off, so if you walk a bit slower than normal you won't make it to the other side before the lights start to change).

Puts me in mind of having to sit through the piracy warning on a legally bought DVD (whilst the pirates strip it out on the dodgy copies!)

Read a story that from later this year all DVDS/BRs issued in the US will be required to have two 20 second unskippable anti-piracy ads by law. Guess how many really irritating unskippable ads the pirated versions will have?

Or if VLC still skips them...

I generally rip my films anyway, saves space downstairs

Keep your voice down, you fcuking tw@t.

What's funny is that I now just stick the disc in and go get a drink or something before it gets to the main menu. I will at some point rip all my films so I can avoid this crap.

Will new TVs with cameras and motion detectors not permit you to watch a movie unless you have seen the full anti-piracy ad?
