TBH, Monaco always is boring. Worst race on the calendar, IMO.

The BBC main headline depicts a 'thrilling' race.

With all the looking after the tyres and the constant threat of rain which never materialised, the best drive was from Vettel, and even that didn't amount to much.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Drivers treating Formula One like video game, says Jacques Villeneuve

Jaques Villeneuve wrote:
Villeneuve noted the moves by Nico Rosberg in Bahrain as an example and specifically referenced Heikki Kovalainen moving over on Jenson Button in Monaco and both Sauber drivers in China. All incidents that were adjudged according to the rules to be legal – but it is the interpretation of these rules that concerns the former world champion, who will be an analyst for Sky this weekend.

"Everybody just uses the one-move rule without realising when it is too late to actually move and cross over and when it is actually being dangerous," he said.

What a hypocrit. I can remember him 'pulling a Rosberg' on Jenson Button.

Yep, he won a WDC on the back of a car developed by Damon Hill, and trades on his dad's name. He pipes up every now and again, in the hopes that he isn't forgotten. Tool.

Ferrari have concluded an agreement for Sebastian Vettel join Fernando Alonso at the team from 2014. They will offer Felipe Massa a performance-related deal to stay on as a stop-gap in 2013 but if that doesn't work out will make an offer for Mark Webber. To really secure Vettel's signing, they need to deliver a title for Alonso so the pairing is less confrontational with a more fulfilled Alonso.

Hmm, so does that make it gossip or fact? Although, in F1, there's not much difference really is there?

And now...
Quote:
Formula One world champion Sebastian Vettel has no agreement with Ferrari and will be staying at Red Bull for years to come, team boss Christian Horner said on Tuesday.

Ha, ha, yes it's the silly season, no doubt about that!

Well, I'm heading off today for Silverstone, can't wait - though it's looking like it's going to be a wet race, in fact all 3 days are looking decidedly dodgy weather wise. To make matters worse, our grandstand this year (in the Village complex) doesn't have a roof on - luckily, we have a roaming ticket for Friday and Saturday so we'll try to find shelter those days.!! Must book a bit earlier next year to get into the one with a roof. Ah, well, guess I'll have pneumonia next week! Still, hopefully it'll spice up the race, as long as it's not black-flagged.
:(

Anyone else here going this year?

I joined, but I couldn't access sport guru until after the first race, so I didn't bother with it.
