I keep finding stuff near the beach, pre war fishing stuff and ww2 era stuff but some stuff has similar traits, some "metal" pieces that have been under seawater for a long time have turned white with patches of blue bits, is this actually metal or is it asbestos that ive found (again -.-) need to check as Ive no idea what it is, I took a pic of one of the items here:
well remember I found that huge nosecone that I thought was fibreglass and it turned out to be asbestos it feels a LOT differant than that asbestos nosecone, still curious what material it is though, can asbestos have a metallic feel/texture to it?
edit: cant find any fibres on the edges so I dunno
That's not metal - it would have corroded in the salty water. I too hope that that's not asbestos. Whatever you don, don't break it. It makes it more dangerous.
Ask your local authority to help you dispose of it, and tell them where you found it.
