Went to Castle Combe Classics and Sports Action Day the other week with a few other Crossfire drivers. We took part in the parade lap - basically all the car clubs who aren’t doing racing get to drive around the track behind a pace car. I found, very much at the last minute, that I could wedge my phone against the windscreen in one of the blower vents, so I recorded as much as I could before the phone overheated and shut itself off. I suspect being that close to the glass on a sunny day was just too much for it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RSX6PTMMd4Since then, I bought a phone holder that suction cups to the windscreen, and did some testing. I found that I could drive a considerable distance while recording with it without the phone overheating.
