I see that BBC HD are showing the mens Wimbledon semi final from yesterday in 3D this morning.

If anybody has a 3D set and sees any of this I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts. Its the first normal TV that I have heard of being broadcast in 3D. 8-)

Currently watching the original version of Casino Royale; it might be the best thing I've ever seen.

This came up in conversation last night and I wondered if it was that good. More detail please...?

This is the David Niven one yes? It's not 'canon'

TBBT is a programme I have only just discovered. I actually think it's funny, but the future Mrs PZ says she feels awkward watching it because it appears that a lot of the characters are exhibiting symptoms of autism, and they form the basis of some of the jokes.

Ho hum.

A lot of the characters? One maybe but not a lot. Most comedy is taking the mickey out of people with problems of some sort (Some Mothers Do Have Em, Faulty Towers etc). I love all the characters on the show and think it's one of the best comedies on TV. Ricky Gervais posted a very interesting Metro interview on Twitter recently. He discusses this kind of thing in depth and I found it quite interesting.

60 seconds

Jon is right, it's definitely not canon at all. Bizarrely enough, it's a spoof of the James Bond genre that was made before any of the proper James Bond films.

As a first off, the cast list is very impressive:

David Niven
Peter Sellers
Derek Nimmo
Bernard Cribbins
Ronnie Corbett
Woody Allen
Ursula Andress
Orson Welles
Stirling Moss
etc.

It's quite surreal in places and very silly, but some of the lines in are just ball-crushingly funny. I was watching it in work with a friend and he was shaking with laughter in parts.

Might be of interest to some: "You’ve seen the project, read the articles, and heard the news and reviews. You’ve may have even watched the behind-the-scenes commentary. But you still have one nagging question…

Now you can ask the filmmaker directly, here through Kodak’s “Ask a Filmmaker” series.

Ever wonder how Michael Slovis, ASC got that certain shot and what the creative decisions were that contributed to it? Now is your chance to ask the Emmy®-Award winning cinematographer-director of AMC’s hit show Breaking Bad."

Did you watch it from S1E1, or just jump in willy-nilly?
