It's not a pretty boat, but not ungly. Functional I would call it.
Wasn't til I scrolled down on reading that I saw how high/tall it was.

Exactly. It would only ever stay on that lake for it's life, so without having to worry about open seas the owner decided to maximise floor area. It is ugly though.
