Cheaper homes, but larger deposits (though wise) are having a balancing effect.

+1 what's the point in having cheaper homes if it's more difficult to buy them ?!?!?

That's nice of them to say, especially as Halifax no longer off tracker mortgages to anyone. Their fixed rate is currently the same as their SVR.
