No brainer IMHO.

More autonomy, more flexibility and in the medium/long-term, more money. Winner all round.

What are your reservations?

Just spent a lot of my savings on the house. There's not much left after setting it up if I don't get much work.

AMC. Got nachos/jalapenos/salsa/cheese, popcorn, peanut M&Ms and large drink. The cinema was fine except when my new bro-in-law checked his phone and the screen ruined the view of the film from my periphery.

Will post a review later. I felt like I was starving, ready for a 3-course meal, yet was greeted by a buffet with lots of food that just didn't fill me up. I suspect that whereas with TDK the hype of Ledger ruined the film, I think with DKR I managed to hype the film up so my expectations weren't met. I may need a second viewing sometime soon.

Hmmm, second "non-wow" comment I've heard.

AMC food sucks balls. You should know this.

As for checking a phone - really?! NO NEED! Totally understand your annoyance at that....

I started going to AMC after my sister's recommendation over Odeon. I've been to Cineworld but I find the seats at AMC much better. The food was acceptable.

I would be just as annoyed at someone eating all that food next to me in the cinema as I would if they checked their phone. ;)

I've only been to AMC in the US. Great theaters, sucky food. And if it's bad over there, I can only imagine what it's like here!

So make sure you get work. I bet you know a ton of people and could clearly make it happen, it's probably just a bit scary. Totally understandable.

But remember that fear and excitement are often hard to distinguish from each other ;)

I ate the nachos during the trailers. Slowly munched on popcorn - the noisiest bit is when I grab a handful. Peanut M&Ms is probably a bit noisier.
