I settled on a £40 bottle of plonk from Tescos. Need to find the new R-Pi to give to him.

No. If that was gonna happen, I'd have tried the three new donuts.

Must remember to bring some to current practice on tuesday when it's my final day as trainee.

Doughnuts!

Regardless of the brand.

Ah. I thought because they were American, they spelt it as "donuts".

That had better be a very fine bottle for that price! Or was it Scotch rather than wine?

I would've got 2 champagnes for that and kept one :)

Why would you want to keep one? ewww fizzy vinegar. A bottle of Argentinian Malbec is where it's at.

Are you a wine man? Did you know Swiss wine is very good but not exported? Michel Roux mentioned it on the Roux Legacy show #randomfact

I do love wine, but only red. Aussie Shiraz, Argentinian Malbec, Chilean pinot noir, these are the £7 bottles of wine (£5 if you catch them in a Tesco offer) that taste like £25 bottles.

I've found that if you like a wine, look up the vineyard and see what other wines they do, they're probably also good because they obviously had good growing conditions and know how to make good wine.

Shiraz is one of my favourites. If you haven't already been visit Vinopolis near London Bridge. It's currently closed for refurb but will be open again in October. Last time I did the tour I got tickets from last minute & they included a talk by Oz Clarke and I got to meet him too.

Have also been for meals and drinks.

Vinopolis
