So some of you may have noticed I asked earlier if Facebook was down. Chris & Mark both confirmed it weren't. So I tried on my mate's computer, connected to the same internet connection as I am. Guess what? I got on without trouble, answered the message I needed to answer then resumed watching the Olympics. But I still can't access Facebook, (any page of) from this, my, computer. I've restarted both my computer, router and modem, run ccleaner, tried IE, I even downloaded and installed chrome... nothing. I turned off my AV - and checked my blacklist in FF to see if I had somehow accidently blocked it. I hadn't.
So, what gives? Anyone got any ideas?
I'm no facebook addict - but I do like to go on it - and this is just plain annoying.

Alex was having issues with this something to do with the MTU (now there's an early 2000s problem) on tapatalk. If you're on tapatalk, have a search for his thread, it might help.
Edit: Freudian slip, I meant talktalk!

My issue was that the MTU on the router wasn't the same as my ISPs. It apparently co-incided with me installing a new OS - coincidence or what I'll never know. Anyway, check what your ISP's recommended MTU is and check your router/ethernet settings. FWIW, my problem wasn't limited to Facebook, but Paypal, eBay, Hotmail etc.

I'm having issues with Facebook and Firefox at the moment. Nothing seems to worl when you click on it. Likes, comments etc. It all works fine in chrome. I've done a fresh firefox uninstall/CCleaner sweep/install and the problem is still there. I've not had problems on any other website.

A uninstall/install of FF wasn't enough. I had to wipe and reinstall Java and Flash to get it working correctly again. It's fine now.
