It's BD, not BR.
I went through that entire article looking for stuff on Blade Runner (because people on this forum sometimes seem incapable of writing out the full film titles and instead unse acronyms).
So please, if you are going to use the acronym for Blu Ray Discs, at least use the proper one; BD.
</rant>

That being said, the Blu Ray release for Prometheus looks pretty good.
Not that I'll be getting it, because I don't have a player, but if all the stuff in that article shows up on the actual release, that'd be a pretty groovy purchase.
I'd particularly like to see the full TED talk.

I'm always interested in a Director's Cut, but all the extra junk I can do without.

I'm not adjusting my shorthand when typing on a tablet or phone, and especially not for a Blade Runner fan :P

There's an awful lot of it that interests me, and that's the second film in as many months :shock: (Avengers)

OMJF. It's not even lazy as the D and the R are right next to each other on the keyboard.
Ah well.

FOX

The studio's big summer bet was Ridley Scott's Prometheus, June's sort-of Alien prequel. The $130 million-budgeted film grossed a solid but not spectacular $303 million globally, putting it right on the franchise bubble. Fox confirms to THR that Scott and the studio actively are pushing ahead with a follow-up (stars Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace are signed) and are talking to new writers because Prometheus co-scribe Damon Lindelof might not be available. "Ridley is incredibly excited about the movie, but we have to get it right. We can't rush it," says Fox president of production Emma Watts, who also has overseen the successful reboots of the X-Men and Planet of the Apes franchises. A Prometheus sequel would be released in 2014 or 2015.

Well, they started something. I hope they can finish it satisfactorily.

Without Damon, I'd need somebody really interesting to hold my interest in this project. The photography was beautiful, but in the time since I've watched it I've come to realise it was more about spectacle than excellent writing.

Also, if Ridley's the man with the ideas who wants to talk about God and existence and the universe, I wanna see him write the bloody thing with that more to the fore.

The best of Ridleys work all fits perfectly with what you just said.
I think the reason why Ridley gets away with this more than possibly any other film-maker is that he integrates the world where the action is taking place in to the plot; it almost becomes another character.
I think very few of his strongest films have particularly strong scripts.
