Aside from the obvious, I've found indoor volleyball to be much more exciting than beach volleyball. GBR are also performing somewhat about expectations, both men and women, which has helped quite a lot. GBR women (something like 60th in the world rankings) gave the Italians (currently 4th) a proper game a couple of nights ago...

They've just played the 'lucky losers' match against Austria. Lost that too. Follow @GBRVolleyball, they're much more fun.

Someone else pointed me towards the Sydney Morning Herald - what a bleeding heart, wishy-washy, apologist rag. I don't know whether to despise their lack of backbone, or applaud their unwillingness to criticise their own athletes. [edit] since this is my first post of the day, good morning everyone!

Morning . GB's last competitor in the archery is already out this morning. Didn't shoot all that well. Did the BBC really play the theme music to 'Hawaii 50' over the highlights of the 2 man canoe slalom win last night?

It would appear there's been controversy in the boxing with allegations of bribery towards match officials. One referree has already been expelled by the AIBA after blatantly not scoring a match properly.

Indeed. It was the same time as the gold medal winner in the women's hurdles in Beijing!

Katherine Grainger & Anna Watkins won gold in the double sculls rowing. William Satch & George Nash also got a bronze in the men's pair as did Alan Campbell in the single sculls. We're up to 4th in the medals table . Another gold will get us to third but everyone else is way behind the USA & China who are on 18 golds each already.
