I couldn't believe it though that someone threw a bottle onto the track just after "set" had been called!
Why would you do something like that?!
Apparently someone's been arrested for that incident.

More gold! The equestrians win 'team jumping' and Kenny wins gold in the cycle sprints. That's 18 golds for GB, one short of their total for Beijing, with a lot of events yet to go...

Sayers' post event interview is a genuinely heart-breaking watch.

Idowu has failed to make the triple jump final. After his behaviour pre-games, he's going to have some hard questions to answer.

The Brownlees dominate the triathlon as expected. Alistair Brownlee wins gold and his brother Jonathan wins bronze despite a 15 second penalty stop for starting on his bike before he cleared the changing area. He was less than 15 seconds behind the silver medalist...

GB have now surpassed the target of the team's performance in Beijing.

Update - just seen this (posted on twitter by ex England cricketer Alec Stewart no less)

'Alistair Brownlee ran that 10k just 83secs slower than Mo Farah on a track having just swam a mile and cycled a marathon first.'

Pendleton has to settle for silver.

She was DQ'd from the first run for moving outside the sprint lane, but the replay shows Mears barging into her (elbow, I think)?!

On the news they're saying London is relatively dead at the moment.
I wonder if I can pick up some bargintastic theatre tickets for this weekend then?

There is no perfect time to visit London.

That Chris Hoy fella, he's quite good at this cycling lark...

Russian synchronized swimming team performed their routine (and got gold) to music from Suspiria.
Excellent. (8+)
