Anyone know if CS3 works alright (well, no worse than it does under Snow Leopard)?

Seems OK here. Photoshop & Illustrator start up. Not tried InDesign yet.

I haven't tried it yet, but I'm thinking that given I suspect my DVD burner is dodgy, making a USB boot stick is the way to go.
Well, the DVD is now in the 'Verifying' stage of the creation process.
I'll boot from it tomorrow and report on the success (or otherwise).

It only works. (8+)
It took an aeon to actually boot from the disc, but when it did everything installed and seems to now be working just fine.
Posting this from the new install.

Just uploaded my first photo from the Finder to Flickr.
That's quite neat.

Must try this too.
Went out with my camera last night, but I haven't looked at the pics yet.

How the chuffin' 'ell do I add a new gesture?
I want to add a four-finger swipe, downwards, which will show the desktop.
I know there's a three-finger-and-thumb gesture for that already, but I really don't like that and would like my own.

Think you might be out of luck. In system preferences - trackpad - more gestures 'show desktop' is defined as 'spread with thumb and three fingers'. Some actions can be allocated different gestures from a drop-down list but that one doesn't have any choices.

There are a couple of apps that allow you add extra gestures to the system (jitouch and BetterTouchTool), maybe try one of those see if it lets you over-ride what the base system has.

Thing I miss: The bar at the bottom of a Finder window that tells me how many things are in a folder. Small thing, but useful.
Scratch that - just got it back.
View > Show Status Bar. Just like in Safari.

Did this auto-default to a private image for you once uploaded to Flickr?

I seem to recall that it did, but there was a check box to make it public.
