That it took 10 years for a lot of Batman's now accepted background to come about. No Robin, Alfred, cave or even Wayne Manor in the early days. Nobody said Batmobile until '41 IIRC, and the setting was New York, not Gotham. He was also a killer (gun-mounted Batplane FTW lol), and a bit of a bumbler (he gets lost while driving and shows up at a house in full costume to ask for directions).

Surprised you weren't aware. Back when my bouts of insomnia were bad, I read about Batman and his initial appearances, etc. Quite interesting but thankful that it went the way it did.

It's all laid out via the Batmobile book; despite the countless books and articles I've read, nothing before has given such an easy to read timeline, if you wanna call it that. There's more 'interesting stuff' on the old cinema serials alone in the Batmobile book than most of what gets published ffs. It covers the context in which the car appeared, I highly recommend it.

' As you may or may not know, it's legal to do cover songs, because of compulsory licensing laws that say as long as you pay a set fee, you can cover any song (why such laws don't apply to samples is weird, and leads to the bizarre situation in which it's legal to cover an entire song, but do just a second of the song and you may be in legal trouble).'

Though does that apply to the likes of boy bands selling tickets and DVDs off the back of others songs? :?

I was quite surprised, though I'd place an order with them and keep an eye on Amazon anyway; Amazon's prices vary wildly :?

The only guaranteed way to remember what it was that you need to look up on the internet, is to press the "shut down" button.
