That's gonna work out to a very expensive controller. Particularly if you throw it in anger because someone was camping/cheating in COD.

The current controller's big enough without adding a gimmicky screen; for games like COD you wouldn't be arsed.

I'm very curious about their plans for the next-gen (MS too), but I still doubt I'll buy into it. They and the developers/publishers spent this entire gen treating the customers like crap.

Why my wife isn't speaking to me on the phone.
She's just passed me straight onto my son for that last two days, then not spoken to me later. Further phone calls aren't answered.
I haven't done anything that I know of, and her last facebook status said she'd had a good weekend.
So what's wrong?

Now I'm getting really worried. I got an email saying she had nothing to say, even though I know full well we have lots to talk about at the moment.

I have no intention of snooping. Its not my style, and would probably cause more problems than it solves.

I can imagine that being frustrating as hell, when you're stick on a rig somewhere. Hope it works out mate.

Maybe she's just a bit low at the moment? Odd she's sent an email saying she's got nothing to say. Let us know how you get on.

More specifically my visit to the Doc today who gave me a script for better pain relief that isn't stocked in the 3 pharmacies I've tried so far, then suggested that if I have another bad gall bladder attack I should present myself to GE Hospital A&E department for urgent surgery. Now I can't decide how I decide when it's urgent. Do I wait until I'm yellow and rolling on the floor like my Dad, or is the fact that I can't lean forwards or back because of the pain, which is making me grey and sweaty and stopping me sleeping properly enough?

Also, my pain feels bad because it's *my* pain, but I also feel like a big whiner because someone very dear to me is going through one hell of a lot worse and my perspective feels skewed.

Tired and hurting is not a good state for my brane.

The advice to present to A&E by the doctor seems almost dismissive, especially given the nature of the surgery involved. I'm not sure what to make of that at all. I guess he feels the attacks should be managed with pain killers for now, but doesn't want to be held responsible if you suddenly explode. This clearly isn't helpful to you at all...

Did you actually get the pain killers you need yet? That's got to be the priority. My chemist can always get stuff next day but that's not much help either right now.

As for your friend's problems; there's always someone you can find who seems worse off. You have to think about yourself sometimes too because you're just as important as everyone else. Friends will always understand.

You've achieved a hell of a lot over the last few months, and everyone is entitled to whine when they're in pain. That's my perspective.

*hugs*

Just had a read of that. It implies GPs have lots of time to chat. We have 10 mins which is less than I had when I worked in A&E. If you're in excruciating pain/agony/vomiting etc, then good time to seek emergency medical attention. If you bear the pain and painkillers take the edge off, then I'd wait.

Well she did speak to me today.... a bit. She wouldn't tell me what was wrong as I "couldn't do anything about it". So I'm still in the dark.
Apparently her Mum is coming to stay this weekend, so hopefully that will cheer her up.
So I'm not as worried/stressed as yesterday, but something's still not right.
