Salt yes, but in liquid form, not the dry stuff gritters use.
Plus, don't gritters use Sodium Chloride, not Calcium Chloride?

Gritters use a very weird mix of stuff that actually contains more sugar (molasses mostly) than salt.

Well, it can be pretty much any gritty substance that will eventually dissolve, and not leave a slick on the road.

LoL, I have no idea, nobody yet, but we're not planning to have one so anyone who wants to turn up and take photos is more than welcome, but we're not paying anyone for it :) It's not going to be your ordinary, everyday wedding, no dress fittings, no morning (mourning?) suits, no present list, no cutting of the cake, no reception. It's bad-taste fancy dress themed, I'm getting married in a corset, fishnets and wellies, I think Red is getting married in his garage clothes. Afterwards we're off to the pub for pie and beer. Can't wait :)

It's just a username Bratty, it's not legally binding
I think the funniest thing was the registrar's reaction to the fact that Red I already have the same surname, she said it's only the 2nd time in her career that she's married two people who already have the same surname, and that was Jones. 8-)

Oh God, that is so much easier though. No having to tell all the various legal bodies of a change of name etc... It's practically cheating

Well, in fairness, I changed it by deed poll ahead of the wedding on purpose. I needed to apply for a new passport and I refused to pay £75 to get a new passport, then pay another £75 in a year to change my name, I just changed my name to what it will be ahead of time ;)
