The pate which KJW eats is "Felix Meaty Loaf". It's the same price as in gravy or jelly, but because it's all combined together she can't suck the sauce off. At least that's the theory! She's only eaten about 1/4 of a sachet in the last 2 days which is why I'm a little concerned, although she seems perfectly healthy. This weather doesn't help because the fresh food goes disgusting a few hours after you put it down. Is 25g a day really enough for any cat?!

Where's the "What they're bloody given" option?
I wasn't allowed to be a fussy eater so the cats had no chance.

+1. I thought all cats had two homes... You sure that kitty is pigging out at the other house? Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2

Our cats are quite happy with about the cheapest stuff Morrisons sells. Currently, it's metal foil trays at 25p each. Before that, the cheapo sachets were in vogue - until they decided they didn't like them any more.
If you give them posh food, they just sniff it and walk away. Eventually, they will get bored with the trays, and we'll have to find something else they like.
Oh, and Penny-puss has no teeth. Domestic moggies can get dental caries, and if it's not treated it becomes gum disease. She had all her teeth extracted some years ago. The gums harden naturally, and she will happily crunch through dry food when the mood takes her.

You see that's pretty much the plan, but: She leaves the wet food until it's rotten and inedible. She regurgitates the dried food without digesting it. She then eats rodents, proving that she is actually hungry. It's just not the way I'd like things to be... Jon yes - I do wonder if she's been visiting somewhere for snacks but she spends 99% of the time in the house just being lazy! She's pretty damned old, and the rodent thing came as a big surprise.

Our two cats get whiskers punches in the morning and dries in the evening
If they dont finish the wet (or just suck off the jelly) i just leave it down until its either off or they eat it
They bring in the odd mouse / mouse head now and then

Ours did that - but we decided it was wasteful. They absolutely scoff down Felix meatloaf cat food. It goes in minutes.

I do hope you mean pouches! *looks up RSPCA number* JJ: Some cats go off their food when they have worms, just wonder if the cat in question has been de-wormed recently?

Not recently but she's being done on Tuesday. I ordered some stuff when she ate the rodent!

We used to do that, but in the summer it gets covered in flies. Obviously, with us both being around the house most of every day, we now give the mogs a large breakfast (most of a tray each), then they ask if they want more. Less wasteful, less fly poop and eggs to deal with. I don't think there's an ideal way to deal with wet cat food, to be honest.

It appears a few people with fussy cat eaters only have 1 cat. I think if you have more than one cat you're less likely to have problems.
I've had cats the last 24 years and have never had a fussy eater.
My 2 cats at the moment will eat wet and dry food. They always have dry out as it's less likely to go off and I'll give them some wet food in the evenings. One of them LOVES meat that we eat so sometimes I'll put out a bit of ham or left overs for her. The other one will just sniff it and walk off. They both do like tinned tuna but only one of them likes other fish.
My Mum's neighbour was giving me the salmon pouches out of the multipacks for ages as her cat would not eat them. Reckon he's now changed his mind again as I don't get them any more.
Cats are lovely. All you people that think they're weird have never owned one obviously. So there lol

Cats are weird, in human terms. But I'm sure they make sense to other cats.

Caz, you ought to know better. You don't own a cat. It lets you look after it. Dogs have owners, cats have staff.

I wish it was legal to shoot cats in your own property, I know so many people having problems with them going in gardens and toiletting everywhere all the time, I sneeze like crazy when im near cats, vermin things
