Because the Tescos stuff is cheaper, obviously . having said that, my new car is apparently set up so I need to use the 98 RON stuff to keep the engine in best nick, so I may well be buggered either way. Jon

The recommended RON for my car is between 87 and 91. So the regular cooking stuff is perfect - and cheaper!

More or less - I occasionally fill up with Sainsbury's hot stuff to flush her through. I don't think I've noticed any advantage to be honest over the regular stuff. What's kind of cool is that despite her being an '88, the owners manual gives guidelines on the acceptable amount of Ethanol and Methanol (10% and 5% respectively) so this worry about the Ethyl biofuel content and modern engines isn't much of a worry for me.

Because where I am going the closest Shell garage is a fair bit out of the way, and for the price difference it's not worth it, I do occasionally stick the Shell premium in but only half a tank, the 'benefit' is far outweighed by the cost Prof, not only is it cheaper, it's also duty free (provided you dont go over the 5k litres a year or whatever it is!)

My eleven year old is getting published! Ok, not quite as big a deal as that - He was asked to write a short piece (really short - only a few sentences) at school, before the summer break, for entry into some national literacy competition. He received a certificate and notification that his work will be published in a book of short stories. Still, it's very

I've brought in another three 5* reviews for my company on Trip Advisor over the last couple of days. With a $10 bonus for each one I might treat myself to a new pair of thongs (flip-flops).

Oh no! You didn't manage to punch a hole in the sea floor and drain the whole North Sea did you?
