Politics in this country is just as stupid and way less fun and entertaining.

True, but it's also less extreme. The polictical gap between the Tories and Labour is much less than between the Republicans and the Democrats.
The same is true of teh news coverage of politics. You should see some of the rants on the American news.

Seen it. Been there. LOVE it.

It's so ridiculous it's actually amusing. Whereas here, it's virtually never amusing AND you end up genuinely worrying about what it means for the future. People over there are just so much more passionate and opinionated and I like that.

And when you meet actually, on the ground Americans they're lovely. Some are stupid, but it's largely through ignorance and lack of education due to the system they were born into. Whereas here, a lot of idiots are that way by choice IMO.

+1

No, facts are better with rationality.

Opinions are better when they are passionately delivered, IMHO of course ;)

Opinions without a basis in fact are pointless.

I disagree. Opinions are interesting for a variety of reasons. Factual basis isn't a requisite for that.

Everybody has the right to an opinion and I like to hear about them. You never know what you're gonna learn or find interesting.
