That was the first film I went to see after leaving school. It was showing at The Point cinema, in Milton Keynes. </random rambling>

I think the first film I ever watched was either Jumanji or Mrs Doubtfire.
I missed all the cool films like BTTF/Batman because I was too young at the time. And we were too poor.

Hmm. (checks IMDB dates)
Father of the Bride Part II (95)
(followed closely by Jumanji (95) and Twister (96))
No, no, YES! wait, my first film at the cinema was a Baz Luhrmann film.
Strictly Ballroom (92).

I think my first film at the cinema was Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I was about four years old. My mum worked at the cinema as an usherette. The bit in the film about the child catcher scared me so much I had to be removed from the cinema. I never saw the end of the film until about 25 years later.

I saw one father and his little 6 year old son walk out of TDKR... this was after some pretty sickening violence, but batman breaking his back and being locked in a room was obviously a bit much for the wee lad to take.
(I felt like saying "don't you want to see him get his bloody revenge though?!")
But it may have come across as a little sociopathic.

Interesting because I saw a few kids with parents in varying levels of Batman outfit after the whole film (we were queueing for the next showing).

I'm always amazed at the amount of kids at Batman showings. You wonder if their parents even have a clue about the film never mind their children

TBH you'd think after some of the stuff in BB and especially in TDK, they'd have learnt.

I'm not sure many of them were born when BB came out.

Parents don't care any more. I'm sure they will care when their beloved wee ones hachet them to death in their sleep one day.
Don't get me started on the violence in this country. Those poor PC women this week.... it's sickening

pics so I can have a laugh? I still have the image of you that frenchun posted here which was promptly deleted (not saved but permanantly stored in my memory in my head) If you kept the hair you could sell it on ebay and label it as jeremy clarksons hair from the 80's picked up from hairdresser or something to make a quick fortune?

If it's the one I think it is then it's still used in plenty of other places online associated with my name.

I would not mind seeing it again at the cinema. The problem is that they charge silly prices. A couple of quid in the afternoons and I will be there.
