The Moviehouse in Glengormley has a non-3D showing, so it's possible to view it in 2D if you wish. Dublin Road also has 2D screenings of it. Mark

Agreed I think the extra 50p for 3D films is a rip off as well.

This is why I don't go to the cinema anymore.

We reckon with about 40€ for a cinema visit (2 people, 2 tickets ( 7€ each, then popcorn or tortillas, drinks and parking). I currently have a voucher for another 4 free films, so a bit cheaper - I just can't find anything worth watching at the moment. We've walked out of 4 of the last 10 films, they were so bad.

The cinema is starting to price themselves out of the entertainment market. It makes waiting for the DVD a better deal.

Waiting for the DVD has been cheaper for a long time - but it's rarely a better deal. Besides if it wasn't for those of us "idiots" still going to the cinema, the rest of you wouldn't get your substandard discs to watch anyway

I only go to see 'blockbusters' at the flicks, almost everything else is better watched at home IMO. Even at that the average Hollywood film's crud. The best films I've seen recently have been lower-budget European jobs, and that's not to say they were 'great'.

So you are the bugger who keeps encouraging them to make crappy films!

No, I only watch good films The Twilight franchise don't get my money. And Ernie, in my book, there's a difference between "watching at home" and "DVD"
