Good luck dude, and if you get the chance to live in the US, take it, it's very difficult to get without sponsorship, and will open you up to a new world of opportunity.
*fingers crossed for you*

Well, it's been a while.
I just emailed again to see if there was any news.
I got a reply straight away... They want to book me in for a 1st round tech screen!!!!!!!!!!1!!!one11!
They've taken a look at my work already so they obviously liked what they saw. I guess the first round is to make sure that I actually wrote what I said I wrote and didn't just submit someone else's work etc...
OMFG! Excited!

Wow indeed. Does this mean travelling to America soon, or do they have an office in Britain?
Good luck!

There is a London office off Regent Street. It's more or less just as you'd imagine it. Lots of glass, aluminium and beautiful receptionists in black.

Well done, young Oliver! Fingers crossed for you - but if they mention anything about maps in the job description, run like f**k!!

I asked if there was anything I should prepare for Friday. (The screening will be over the phone). I got this reply back... Nervous as anything now. Just been reading up and I'm fairly confident in the subjects you just never know. Lol, I even re-invented binary trees in my sudoku app without knowing that's what I was using Wonder if ill be able to get any sleep before Friday.

Not necessarily they might actually pay a lot more money for that right now. From what I gathered about Apple is that they do loads of interviews and you may have no idea what you are being recruited for until it is over. You could be working on until it is actually launched or a dummy project. You might be working on a small segment of a program, or product for months with no access to any other part. I think that this is part of the screening process to eradicate those willing to sell to tell secrets. That process can go on for months. It might never be apparent what you are working on. You might be working on one aspect of something completely out of context of its final use. That said go for it and enjoy it. It is perfect for a CV for anyone, as long as your CV is not followed by several unexplained missing years in Federal custody.

I have had a couple of phone interviews. Make sure you are somewhere that is quiet (disconnect the door bell) and comfortable. I have always used a hands free phone as that way I can move around, stand if needed etc – I find that it helps Have you CV to hand as you can then refer to it in the interview Good luck
