New day new thread

Yay!

Afternoon World!

I got up reasonably early today, fed the cats, did a few chores, had breakfast and coffee then did a bit of online xmas shopping, before going to get my hairs cut. I'm actually quite looking forward to xmas this year and am determined to be organised and therefore not skint all through December. We get to spend all of xmas on our own, we're planning to sleep all morning, wander to the pub for lunch, cooked and cleaned up by someone else, spend the afternoon drinking beer and chilling, then wander home, get a fire going in the dining room, open our pressies and then spend the rest of the day/evening doing stuff all!! Consequently, I want to make sure all presents are bought and wrapped so they can be delivered during the next couple of months and I can forget it!!

Since getting home I've got out the silicone sealant and run it around every available edge of the front door, inside and out, to sort out the front-of-house leak, that's finished, I've done 3 loads of laundry, cleaned and sorted the sofas in the living room and done a lot of de-cluttering. It's now chucking it down so I'm not sure what I'm going to do next, hoover the living room and stairs so that's done, get the fire clean and the ash box emptied before the chimney sweep comes at 18:30, chop some more wood and get the next box of kindling in so we can have a fire tomorrow night, empty the cupboard in the dining room so we have room for more wine and beer and sort out the ducklings in the dining room. These things all need doing so I shall get on with it once I have finished my current cup of tea and pipe.

Actually feeling more energetic and ready to do things, the kitties want more dinner so I may feed them to keep them quiet while I get on with chores, they're like little kids in that they get bored and grumpy when they can't go outside to play

Well, better go get on, this stuff won't do itself

Last day on the current contract today

My car smells. I have a leaky door seal somewhere (yet to be discovered) and the carpets are soaking after the recent torrents.

We decided on a stupidly early night last night. I woke around 2345, and it felt like about 0300! I am now awake, up and about, and feeling better than for a long time. You can't beat a decent kippage.

Up reasonably early again today , dressed and a cup of coffee on the go. It's grey and windy outside, heating oil being delivered today and I've got ducks and chickens to sort out, fish water changes to do and the cupboard in the dining room to sort out. If I get all of those things done it will be a good Friday

I will finally finish building those PC's in my front room I promised myself I'd do during my Paternity leave.

I am currently researching why she might be pooping all over the place, why she's building - and releasing - epic quantities of gas and whether there's anything more we can do without medical intervention.
