The last things I bought in from the US were via FedEx. Parts cost was about £81, but after shipping and handling via FedEx, I'm looking at a £200 bill.

I do as much as possible now through Bundlebox. It means using FedEx but the handling fees are fine.

I wish I could justify that, I don't order much from the States apart from the likes of what I linked to every so often.

I have only used it a few times. Though the savings on each trip in terms of the fees add up. You cannot avoid the duty but the handling fees are much lower.

Bought our wedding rings yesterday, we used the vouchers we got from the insurance company after the burglary and they weren't as expensive as we thought so we also bought Red's Mum's 60th birthday pressie, my Mum's next birthday pressie, I replaced my pearls that were stolen and bought myself a watch! All in a good shopping trip, we also bought some rugs for the house, a new bathroom rug set and some new sports socks for Red, we're playing squash twice a week and his old sports socks have perished!

A day of win :D

I have to take my hat off to Olympic Shaver Centre (the Braun service people).
My electric shaver developed a fault just inside warranty so I sent it off for repair (without proof of purchase as I didn't have that). It went missing in the post somewhere so they sent me a brand new shaver because I had proof of posting the old one.

Well - well done to Nikon

My S9100 camera stopped working while I was onHoliday. After looking on 'tinternet I was able to find a way to hard reset it and it truggled on with the zoom making a horrid noise
Anyway when I got home checked the invoise - yup I ahve bought it 14 months ago.
However conntacted them and they provided a pre-paid label- I sent it in and it has come back repaired (new lens mechanisum) at no cost
So well done them

My 5.7 litre Camaro is better on fuel to/from work than the 2 litre Megane Scenic I've been using for the last couple of weeks!

Although, it begs the question - was that AFTER you had finished with it?

No!
There's a slight blow on the exhaust, but honestly, I'm putting in as much fuel over the last two weeks as I would with the Camaro. It's ridiculous.

The Megane is so underpowered even with that engine, it drinks fuel.

I had a 2 litre BMW X1 X-drive last weekend & you could see the fuel gauge dropping as you drove down the road
