One would imagine that perhaps the (presumably, from the description) empty bottles didn't make it to sale then?

Lol, why would they not sell them? Their active ingredient doesn't work anyway, so it's not as if it's any worse for not containing it. It's not even a secret, they put it in the "doesn't work" section in Boots instead of the "works" section*.

* in some stores labelled Medicines and Alternative (to) Medicines.*

*I added the (to).

Because, if the product is 'only' water, and the water isn't in the bottle, then there is nothing to sell.
If you're prescribing a sugar pill placebo, and the sugar pill isn't in the bottle, you aren't selling anything.

FWIW, I do know someone who's hay fever is only responsive to homeopathy. YMMV, etc. but it works for them. They don't know why, and they don't really care.

There's never anything to sell, that's the point.

I know some people whose rooms are only responsive to Feng Shui, ymmv, but it's the only way he can get a positive flow of well-being directed over his bed.

I think it was the "activated water" that wasn't going into the bottles. I imagine they still had "normal" water in and would be indistinguishable by any normal lab test.

I've seen video footage of a rat's heart cell responding to homoeopathy, which was cool. I've never managed to find the footage again though, so I can't prove I didn't dream it up...

Except I can show you someone who's hay fever stops after taking medication - a measurable improvement. Unless you have a positive flow of well being measuring device? Other than a Feng Shui consultants bank account?

Presumably, the placebo effect works for them. Perhaps just increasing their fluid intake generally helps. I can't believe a tiniest fraction of nothing at all diluted by water helps them in any scientifically measurable way.

And I can't believe upping their fluid intake by 2-3 drops of whatever is the cause.
I'll buy a placebo effect, but then wouldn't it be equally effective with some Piriton?

Definitely seems to be a case here for proper rigorous testing to see what's happening. It's not the diluted water, that's for certain. ;)

JFK died on 22nd November 1963 - the same day as Aldous Huxley and CS Lewis. Two of the greatest writers of the twentieth century managed to die on the one day in history that would guarantee them almost no attention at all.

Apparently Justin Beiber is signed to Def Jam.
What the hell's been going on there?
