Has anybody else's Hotmail account been flooded with spam to the inbox recently? It's normally pretty good, but this looks like a filtering problem or something. PPI cnuts and the like :x :x :x

My wife passed her driving test this week so my insurance premium has increased. Not by too much but still irritating.

The fact that you spotted that reference speaks volumes, methinks...

I'm stuck at work because one of our drivers had a minor accident on the public highway. Company policy demands that Drugs and Alcohol tests are carried out, so I had to babysit him (no drink/food/toilet breaks) until the independent tester arrived.

The tester turns out to be doddering old chuff, who clearly hasn't done this before - We've been at it since 3pm. This could be a long evening.

Two things:

East Coast (trains) are releasing tickets for the Christmas period. Under normal circumstances tickets are issued a week at a time either 10 or 12 weeks in advance (I forget which) and as far as I could tell, on a Thursday lunchtime. This goes straight out the window for the Christmas ones. Issued whichever day of the week is picked of the calendar. The first lot of tickets I needed I missed out on getting the super cheap ones because they came out on a Wednesday rather than a Thursday. Today, the next batch were released and it was more by luck than judgement that I noticed and snaffled a cheap ticket (about £16 from Glasgow to Peterborough). I swear to God they are doing this deliberately. Bah!

On a completely separate and somewhat more frivolous note, what the hell are PickTV playing at? They've been showing Star Trek The Next Generation week nights for a while. In their infinite wisdom they have decided to show part 2 of a 2 part episode without showing the first part. For those that know/like TNG its 'The Best of Both Worlds', one of, if not the best TNG double episode.
Whoever is in charge of programming over at PickTV towers should get a slap.

I've had the ticket issues before. When I used to travel on Virgin in the first two years of uni, I could get a 1-week (£13)or 2-week (£16) advance return ticket. By the time my third year of uni rolled around, I could never seem to get them - I would go on a Weds/Thurs, find they weren't released yet, go on a Fri/Sat and find they were all sold out! WTF!?!?! Ended up paying £36 with railcard but meant I could travel at any time.

Didn't notice the missed episodes but have been busy for the last few days. I loved watching it but can't always catch both episodes which is annoying.
