I can understand why. Most people are switching to smartphones anyway. So while the Nokia Lumia is a very good phone it is not on the radar of most people. So it is either iPhone or Android? Samsung are now dominating the Android market so it is logical that people switch to Samsung.

I am not going to criticise Samsung as it is a comfortable size so I can fully understand why they have revisited the 4" version. It might simply have been that they wanted to go big to start with because there have been rumours/wish-lists of a bigger iPhone, just like there are wish-lists for a smaller iPad.

Hmm.. it might. I'd be more inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt if it was someone other than Samsung mind..

It does present us with an interesting thought experiment though.. If the iPad showed everyone that the tablet market was actually viable, if the Nexus 7 (made by Samsung) showed Apple that a 7" tablet was actually viable, then Apple release the iPad mini, shortly followed afterwards by a very similar specced Samsung tablet which bears little relation to their previous Galaxy Tab family and much more similarity to said iPad mini and the Nexus 7, who is copying who?

I thought it was Asus making the nexus 7? According to the back of my N7 it is! Are Samsung copying that explicitly now that they forgot to take the manufacturer name off the back

Maybe they are copying apple again with the iPhone 5 screen size?

This is a wind up right?

This might come as a serious shock to sheeple but S3 isn't Samsung's only phone. They have a range of smartphones with displays from 2.8" to 5.3".
Are you seriously so ignorant that you think Samsung was watching apple come out with a 4" screen and said "We have get one of those out too!" And here we are, one month after iphone 5's launch Samsung comes out with a new 4" phone. Must be copying right?!

Get a grip...

Yes it is a joke. I have the iPhone 5 and the size is perfect as the handset is not too big. So consequently other handsets will also have similar sized handsets, but they will be different. It is like mice. Most people prefer their rodents to be of certain size to fit their hands, so naturally they will mostly be around the same size no matter who manufactured them.

well, it's only a word. However my personal belief is it's use says more about the user than the people they direct it at.

I will admit with all my Apple gear I might be considered a sheeple, but I do not criticise others for buying different devices. There are very rational reasons for their choices and so that has to be accepted by fan boys of all persuasions.
