Just seen a new Skyfall trailer before the footy on ITV. It really does look Proper Bond.

I specifically said "Batman" not to upset Mark, as I felt it would be obvious which one, being as there's only one currently showing in cinemas (8+)

Figured, but I knew you liked your abbreviations too! I've ordered the trilogy to see what I make of TDKR after a second watch

You should have respected my authoratay! I was a lot easier to hear him second time around. And a 2nd viewing just made me love it more and susbend disbelief even more too. Those of you questionning how he had time to set up the flaming bat on the bridge are missing the point.

The Pirates! (In an Adventure With Scientists) - It's good, definitely worth watching, but I felt it veered between it's demographics (male kids of all ages ) a bit too much in places. Anyway, as Jon said, some of is genuinely LOL funny

I question how he got back from a hole in the ground somewhere in the east, with barely any clothes on his back, to inside Gotham during the lock down...

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns: Part 1 I've no idea how this plays if you're not a Batman fan/haven't read the book, but for me it was pure win At first the characters' voices seemed very stilted, until you realise it really suits the mood of the film. I don't remember a single frame that wasn't about evoking the comic it was based on, and that one's a genuine classic... It's no wonder it's been split in two, a lot of work has gone into just about every aspect of it

Oh completely agree. This is as though it was done by someone who respects the franchise, understands the character and knows the source material. Whenever there's a comic book adaptation like this, not every scene transfers well to video/animation so am glad they nipped the right bits. Weller as Batman was awesome.
