I can't watch question time. They can't hear you no matter how loudly you shout. I'm better off with ice road truckers, less stress.

Jerry Springer, David Milliband, an American legal professor, Shami Chakrabati and some Tory whose name I can't even remember he was so dull and on-message. They spent about the first third talking about American domestic issues. I'd imagine people switched off in droves.

See first post of the day. 2 of my close colleagues have been made redundant.

So how did you break it to them? "Do you want the good news or the bad news? Good news is there is a piss up tonight, bad news it is your leaving do." Any news of redundancies is bad. I hope they find a better job soon.

I did not think that you did. Not a nice job anyway. Anyway I hope you can put on a brave face for them. The problem is that when companies start redundancies it can be just the start. So good luck to everyone left.

Not sure if you know who I work for but the company is not in any trouble. These redundancies were more down to personality clash with the new director. The jobs of us humble workers are not in any danger & I have a different boss. These guys were part of my old team. Thanks

You probably mentioned it in the past but I will have no recollection of who. I was being more general about redundancies. As for personality clashes I can appreciate that. Sucks if you are the person on the end of it. Though sometimes it is down to idiot bosses and fear of being outed as incompetent. I have seen many people promoted beyond their skills and ability and then the department suffers because of it. For example great sales men being made sales manager because of seniority and overall sales. They may be great sales men but lousy sales managers. Unfortunately it is the humble worker who gets the blame and gets canned for it.
