You always have to go back to Kwik Fit though. They don't stock the tyres for my car anyway, so I go elsewhere. I bought my last set of tyres from Blackcircles and had them delivered to a branch of Formula 1 which seems far more proficient. Blackcircles will deliver the tyres to you, and you can take them wherever you want. You don't have to use their fitters.

Networks Got two devices on my home LAN, both of which I want to access from outside (i.e. at work). Both devices manuals specify a port range to forward to the device for external access. The port ranges overlap and my router won't allow overlapping port ranges to be forwarded different devices. OK, I can NAT one to a different port range but then I have to figure out how to tell the client software for that device to use the NATed range rather than the one it's expecting. Plus both specified ranges are 1,000 wide (i.e. one is from 6500 to 7500). Are you actually going to be using that many ports? No you chuffing well aren't. How about picking half a dozen and sticking with them eh? Feckers.

I haven't actually used Kwik Fit (apart from getting a windscreen chip repaired) for tyres before The second part is true, but a lot of local fitters aren't keen unless they supply them (presumably to get more profit). I assumed (wrongly quite clearly) that a premier fitter would be better than a smaller garage, won't make that mistake next time! If I had a garage that would fit them for a small fee I'd order them from Camskill as they are usually cheaper even factoring in P&P (like they were to ECP when I was buying the EBC discs for my car I'm going to fit after (only) 9 months later ) and Camskill I've had a better experience with.

I'll never use kwikfit again. I let them change my front tyres twice, and they cocked it up both times.

Seems my boss is trying to stand in the way of me getting my new job as he thinks he's short staffed and can't be arsed to replace me.

Dear YouTube,
The Like/Dislike bar has no effect on anything. It is perhaps the least significant thing on Planet Earth. Other people will dislike things that you like, even things you love. That's part of what makes the world interesting. What isn't interesting is people talking about the Dislike bar as if someone walked in on Christmas Day and pissed on your kids by not liking something.
Also, [LIFTED] off with your rainymood.
Regards, the silent majority.

Black Friday sales.
Why are UK companies having Black Friday sales? Black Friday is the Friday before Thanksgiving. Do we have Thanksgiving? No. Therefore do we have Black Friday? No. I can just about understand 'US native' companies having them as they're too dumb to understand the rest of the world isn't the US with weird accents but why the heck are UK companies attempting to use it as an excuse to get rid off all the stuff that's at the back of your warehouse gathering dust? Why are (for example) Superfi insulting my intelligence by having a 'Black Friday' sale that only includes kit that has been superceded at least twice and was massively overpriced in the first place?
if you want to have a Black Friday sale, feck off to America. Or at least do it the way the Americans do it, where they at least do have actual bargains, as oppose to piles of worthless old tat.

Thanksgiving is the day that we brits celebrate getting rid of those bacon loving rednecks. Coincidentally they celebrate their independence from us, not that we were that bothered about them then.

Isn't that July 4? The Indians and Starving Pilgrims schtick is just that - a myth. Thanksgiving was really created by Abraham Lincoln. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thanksgivi ... ted_States)

The same reason why everything here is now branded Santa rather than Father Christmas.

Amazon UK's sale is rubbish from what I've seen.

I bought some maxi-milk stuff to try out at £11 for 8 bottles as opposed to £19-24 typically charged elsewhere. The rest of the stuff just hasn't been worthwhile.
