The hard way to get round that is to post in both, then get a mod to merge the threads and leave a mirror in the old thread. Seems like a lot of effort though.

I am massively partisan and I am dead against having PC and m*c threads in the same forum. It will cause me furious outbreaks of rage followed by a mental breakdown and inevitable ban from the forums.

I am not partisan but for just that reason can we keep them separate? ;)

This kind of religious intolerance must be challenged and quashed.

I think I'd rather have Hardware and Software forums rather than Mac & PC forums.

I'm kind of with Lev. I'd rather not 'ghetto-ise' Mac & windows people apart (and where would Linux go anyway?). I appreciate there's the odd.. territorial dispute but in the main having access to both 'camps' to help with problems has to be a benefit.

Your insensitivity towards my condition is deeply upseting and totally unacceptable in this day and age!
Why can't you be a little bit more accomodating? It is hard enough for me with right now so why do you have to make it even harder? Why can't you think different?

I see the board index as:
Welcome
- Welcome
General
- The Meeting Place
- In The News
Technical
- Hardware
- Software
- Networking/Internet/Programming
- Gadgets/Phones/Gizmos
Interests
- Hi-Fi/AV
- Photography
- Gaming
Classifieds
- The rules
- Wanted/For sale

Article discussions are so few and far between they could go in the meeting place.
That takes us down to twelve forums from the original nineteen.
You could maybe even include the sales rules in the welcome page (as Welcome/rules) and take it down to eleven.

Well perhaps a poll if we need to understand the majority opinion (if that's what matters to Sas/Everybody else), but I really think integration of OSs has more pros than cons. If you REALLY make a post specific for Mac users, mark it so as Heather suggests. But the more people read stuff, the more interesting and helpful the responses - surely? This ain't Dennis, there aren't people who are stupid enough to turn everything into a flame war.

And less is definitely more...

Go ahead with what you think works best. I am not fixated on any solution. If necessary you can always change it again.

There are so few of them I'd just have them as threads in the meeting place.

How about:

- Crap
- Tech Crap

Anything related to phones/computers/software/networks etc can go into the latter and everything else can go into the former.
