How very accurate.

Just watched Skyfall.

A reasonably good Bond film. Some interesting plot points IMO. Nothing was unpredictable though.

What would have been cool would have been to have Sean Connery play a part in the film, particularly given it was an anniversary film.

Office Space - I may have caught up with this one too late, it's just 'OK' IMO.

I don't think the Brocolli's have forgiven him for.. oh, what was it.. Never Say Never Again. Basically a Bond film without the Bond licence that they made no money from, but he made a packet on. I think the next Bond film that Connery appears in even as a cameo would have to be called 'When Hell Freezes Over'.

In any case, I think he's pretty much retired now.

Skyfall the most lucrative film at the UK box office. Ever.

The Bourne Legacy - Pretty much a re-run of Ultimatum (and if you haven't saw that you probably won't have a clue), and I thought that was the dullest of the previous three. Seriously, they even have the Moby song on the credits again... It's watchable and very well handled, but there's a ridiculous amount of 'I've got a partial facial recognition!' shouting going on, and they probably could have lopped a good 15 minutes off this film.

Everybody does a good job in it but Renner doesn't hold the attention the way Damon did, and that's a big problem when you've just copied the previous film :(

Legacy is tedious. They totally failed to realise that the background stuff in the Damon bournes was only an excuse for cool driving/fighting. No one was actually interested in the background people, they were just scenes to provide cohesion and storyline.

My God it's dull. And the dialogue is ham-fisted at best.

Lol, I consider myself a harsh critic so I usually sugarcoat the pill, but yeah

Best bit is the drone firing the missile into the hut, now that was a cool effect, half a second of awesomeness in a sea of po-faced drudgery.

Also what is it with the about half an hour of film stock devoted to opening pill boxes, looking at pill boxes, talking about where to find pills and putting pill boxes on/taking them off?

We got it, they take pills in this film; 1. that's an easy thing to get you don't have to constantly remind people. 2. That's way less interesting a plot device than you think. Did we mention enough that we call them 'chems' instead of 'pills'? Isn't that neat? lol. By the way, 'green and blue' will suffice for what they're called; they increase intelligence and strength by 1% using science.

And the bit where they send the Asian Terminator after John Connor for 3 hours through a racist fruit market was as ridiculous as it was unoriginal.

And What is it with that moby song? it was out of place in the first film but at least you could say it was a new album release; but it's hardly a classic that deserves to be tied to an entire franchise.

Watching Legacy I felt like the film was saying "we're going to explain this very carefully so even a dumb ass like you can understand" particularly with regards to the pills and the CIA-type guys shouting out plot lines from the previous trilogy just in case I didn't 'get it'.

Yep, I thought it had turned into a comedy at that point - though I don't think the director had that in mind!

I mean, apparently it's now possible to stand up and balance (hands-fee) on the seat of a motorbike doing 60mph+ and jump 10 feet onto another motorbike - without unbalancing the other bike. WFT, do the laws of physics not apply here, or did it have stabilisers fitted!!? And then to throw the policeman off that bike, again without unsettling the balance. I actually snorted out loud at that scene - something I've never done in a film for a long, long time.

Equally, sliding down a stairwell handrail sideways would be near enough impossible for any person... but with someone (supposedly unexperienced on a bike like Rachel Weisz' character) riding pillion to unbalance you? Please, you're having a laugh. The good thing about the first 3 Bourne films were that the car chases were brilliantly executed, but were also within the realms of reality too. I think the director tried to do something a bit different (i.e. use motorbikes instead), but it ended up too far fetched and, frankly, silly.

I went in with low expectations, and it lived up to them!
