I've been to a few weddings with women vicars. They've all been great. I see no reason at all why women shouldn't be bishops.

I forget which channel's news programme I was watching, but they seem to have been twisting the truth a bit. It gave the clear impression is was older traditionalists that were the cause.

Traditionalists, yes. But not all traditionalists are old.

Indeed, just look at all the young fascists in the Tory party.

Anyway, all this is hardly surprising given that it's a belief system based in a Bronze Age desert culture.

I would regard myself as a traditionalist but many traditions are simply wrong. There should be women bishops even if it is simply to comply with sex discrimination laws. If the Jewish churches can handle female rabbi's then other religions should also comply.

As for the fascists in the Young Conservatives that is also tradition and also wrong.
